Mariate Herguido was born in Madrid where she studied Fine Arts and then completed a master's degree in design at the school of new technologies, CICE. She has always had a great passion for art and fashion. She has worked in fashion companies as a designer and also combining it with teaching art to adults and children. She currently works as a textile graphic designer for the swimwear brand Sweet Secret in Madrid, which distributes significant volumes throughout Europe.

She has also worked with other smaller brands focusing on creating exclusive designs. In 2022 she illustrated a psychiatry book with Penguin Random House that was later sold in El Corte Inglés, La casa del libro and Amazon.

Her way of working is varied and complete, she creates her pieces by drawing manually with different materials, as well as digitally, which gives her prints a wide range of styles. Her favorite themes are inspired by 19th century botanical prints and Japanese fabrics. The most important thing in her works and prints is the color and composition, which contribute to achieving the harmony she seeks. Through them you can see the effort and dedication that she puts into the products that she offers to her clients. Her products are full of joy and each piece has been designed with a lot of passion and an exclusive personalized touch, reflected in the final product.
